DDMworks Silicone options for the 1.4L

Dave, was pulling the front bumper necessary or just something you've gotten use to doing? The pics with no bumper looked nice as well. I would think that you could do most of it with just pulling the lower air dam.

I am not sure if you could do it by just pulling the lower air dam, the intercooler connections are pretty far forward and a little hard to get off. Pulling the front bumper on these cars is really pretty easy though now that there is a write up on how to do it and which bolts to remove. When the car is on the lift I had the front bumper off in about 15 minutes without even rushing.

yes .. it is nice to have a lift ... but for those of us that don't have that luxury it does take longer

It will empty out the coolant reservoir and some from the lines obviously, took maybe about 1/3 gallon to fill everything back up and did not require any strange ways to purge the air from the system. We just changed the lines, filled the reservoir back up and watched the coolant temps and it worked perfect.

you guys should add a piece with a flange so you can use separate bovs. kinda like eric did. I know it wouldnt be hard to do myself, but it would be nice if it came that way.

that's the reason I'm not gonna upgrade. don't want to hack up another charge pipe. I'll upgrade when aluminum pipes are released.

Agree . Id be much more interested if they came hacked up for a better bov

Dave said they where working on a kit with a BOV flanged pipe in the middle of the silicone charge pipe heading to the TB, that was one of the reasons he produced the stock BPV block off plate (Eric asked for it was another....). Just wait for a bit and I bet your find something fitting your need sooner than later.

Yeap, we already installed one on the test car and it works great on the silicone intake tube, or the stock tubes. We will have the prototype of the hard tube once the material shows up and then off to production with it.
