Apparently I neglected my polished wheels too much. Trying to bring them back so that I can throw them on the Sonic again.

The oxidation issue.

After about an hour and a half of hand polishing.

I always arrive around 1250 to completely avoid the line. The 12 o'clock lunchers are driving back to their offices and the 1 o'clock lunchers haven't gotten there yet.

Gone are the OEM Hankook tires after 56600 and now we've got Continental PureContact.

Crappy picture, but, it is what it is. The Sonic is filthy and covered in salt so it doesn't really matter.

So far in the few miles I drove it the only thing I noticed was they seem to ride a little harder than the OEM tires. And that was with 35 PSI in them, I just bumped them up to 38 so we'll see what that gives.

I don't really give a crap about firmness. I'm all about snow\wet traction, MPG and tread life.

Finished painting my father in laws car yesterday. Not to shabby for a front yard paint job. Most of the flaws are due to ****ty primer. I bought rustolium primer/filler and ran out needed about double what I had but it was getting prices so I switched to a primer less than half the price. Guess it's true, you really do get what u pay for.

I'm no painter so I used this paint because it came premixed so all I had to do was poor and spray.


I was thinking I might do my truck with this stuff but being 25 a can and it took 5 cans for this little car, I'll buy paint and try to thin it myself next time. They do have some nice colors.

I spent a lot of money and have 2 quarts of urethane paint mixed to paint one of my refrigerators. They matched it as close as they could to the porcelain cabinet. I think it was Dupont Urethane automotive paint.

They also sold me self-etching primer.

Sad thing is, I learned you needed special equipment to spray this as well as a good respirator so I didn't do it. The $250+ worth of paint ended up going in the garbage.

I'm told that was some of the best automotive paint money could buy back in 2007.

I had a respirator on and used my new sprayer kit.

The kit is awesome and I know it's a cheap one but I don't think a regular compressor could have done it this well. It's basically a vacuum on reverse and its constantly blowing air even when your not painting. When u pull the trigger it pushes the paint into the moving air. I was not sure how well it was gonna work when I first saw it, but I love it.

Urethane paint should be good.
