Note: This fix will disable ALL Onstar services. I recently purchased a 2015 LTZ hatchback. Right after I bought it I noticed the MyLink clock would not keep the correct time. It didn't matter if I set it using "auto-clock sync" or manually. The car is still under warranty so I took it to a dealer who reset it and told me the "fix" might not stick as the clock is controlled by Onstar. He told me I would have to contact Onstar and agree to their terms and conditions for a "2-year free trial." This would be my "fix" for the clock. I chose not to contact Onstar. I went 6 weeks with no clock problems. I started my car a couple days ago and was blasted by a voice coming through my audio system saying,"This car is equipped with Onstar. Please press the Onstar button to activate your service." From that moment on the MyLink clock would no longer keep accurate time. I want nothing to do with Onstar and greatly resent such tactics. I think it's probably illegal for Onstar to hold my clock hostage in order for me to sign up for their services. The easy fix for this is to simply pull the Onstar fuse (fuse #15 in 2015 Sonics). Now my clock works just fine by setting it manually and I can look forward to no more invasive advertisements from Onstar blasting through my speakers. I hope this helps others who have similar problems.

Basically, save yourself the hassle, set it manually once and only update the hour up or down when daylight savings time happens (if you have it). I never had an issue with OnStar changing mine, but after the first 2 weeks with my car I just set it manually.
Pulling the OnStar fuse works too, didnt know that would work as well. They gave me 3 or 4 free years of the basic plan so I can lock/unlock the car with my phone.

I know I am opening an oldie but goodie, but as a heads up, this still works. When I bought my 2015 Sonic Hatch, I was already into an 3 yr. contract with Onstar, which then carried over into the trial they gave me with the new car purchase. I never had any problems with the radio. Recently I was notified that the party was over, and it was time to extend Onstar on my dime. The following day the clock was off by roughly an hour, I reset it, same problem next day. I then searched Google, and found this post, I pulled the #15 fuse, and Voila!! no more problems, clock is set manually, and all is fine. Damned shame that GM screws you over just to bleed you for Onstar.

I removed fuse #15 and yes my clock stayed on correct time BUT when I used the phone no on could hear me. Put the fuse back in and phone is fine!!!!’ Any other suggestions or work arounds?

More info: I had no issues with the clock UNTIL I used the starter from a distance. The clock time was messed up again. I stopped using the starter.

Well I stopped using the distance starter and everything was fine. Today the clock was off again. Any suggestions. Please!!
I thought I had it beat, by pulling the fuse, it lasted a short while, and it started screwing up again. I ordered a dash clock from Amazon, and to hell with it.
