I was in the market for a little eco ride, my F150 was getting old and starting to need repair after repair, but looking at the market it seemed to me I'd be better off getting an inexpensive little hatchback which would let me do 90% of my trips, retain the truck for big loads but use it so little it wouldn't require much maintenance, and save not only a bunch of money buying the little car versus a big truck, but also on gas.
So I was really NOT the sort of person who you'd see as looking for performance mods. Thing is, while shopping around to discover the ideal hatch, I climbed into a Sonic and discovered that I really really liked the power and control it had to offer. After doing some research, I concluded that even more of said power would be available in the turbo version, for even better MPG... and that by doing a few simple and cheap mods, I could get even MORE out of the little thing.
After getting the Trifecta tune, I'm really completely bitten by this bug; a Trifecta tuned Sonic is as big a jump over stock as the stock sonic is over the Fiesta or all the other eco boxes out there.
Do I -need- the added power? No, no, not really. But it costs so little to have it, and it's such fun to have it when I want it, and it hasn't decreased my MPG noticeably, so why the heck not?
