Eibach Pro lowered Hatch Steering Noise & Drums Issue?

I have ~ 3500 miles on my whip after lowering it and going to 16" wheels and now I get a wierd steering groan. Did the new angles start destroying anythign or does anyone have any experience with something like this?

Also, i have 37500 miles, and I begin now having a little "drone" from the rear drums it would seem. I have a very minor amount of grabbing in long, light braking at a stop light but nothing too crazy, just barely noticeable. Could these two together be linked to drums being worn? I thought grabby, pulsating brake feel was usually linked to Disc brakes?

At 38k its not unlikely that it might be time for shoes, although usually its just a squeal.

There is no reason the steering rack should be affected by the mild lowering from the Eibach springs, the geometry change would not induce any extra strain, so it sounds like an unrelated problem...

Did you have an alignment done after installing the springs?

Also, the factory sway bar bushings are known to have faults, I had mine replaced at 4,000 miles. That could be what causes your steering noise.
