ESM Wheels

I recently started the search for wheels and happened to come across these ESM wheels that i really liked.

I havent heard much about the company other than they had a tent set up at bimmerfest over the past weekend. On the site Esm-002r Mb 17 - 17 - Esm-002r - Esm Wheels - by Esm Wheels - Wheel Description * Classic Old
they say that the wheels can be drilled to any bolt pattern, but my question is will the 17x8.5 be too wide and what tire would i need to run? I sent them an email asking if a 17x7.5 was available so far they haven't gotten back to me. But its definitely worth checking out the site.

As for deciding on offset and tire size, I'd recommend using this calculator:

(Fender Distance to hub is 85mm)

For reference, Stratton went with a +35 offset with his 8.5" wide wheels. He also put 205/40's which I thought was a bit more stretch than necessary.
