EVAP Purge Control Hose Lock

I just got a P0496 error on my 2015 sonic. I bought a new EVAP purge control valve after seeing how easy it would be to swap out, but I'm having a lot of difficulty disconnecting the hoses. From what I understand, the inlet hose has a blue U-shaped clip that you pry outward and slide upward. With this clip off, I'm not able to remove the hose with moderate force. My right hand doesn't have strong grip due to a work accident, but unless I'm missing something, I feel like I should be able to shimmy it off with enough force.

The real issue is the electrical hose. I can tell there's a blue lock that is stopping me from pinching this open, but can't figure out how to remove it. This gets skipped in every video I've found, and similar threads here and elsewhere seem to picture a different style of clip. I've pried at it a few ways but it hasn't budged. Compared to a couple other pitcures I've seen, it looks like a tab might have been broken by the previous owner. I put some pictures below so you can see what I'm looking at.

That blue retaining clip broke when I needed to replace the purge valve also. Yours does look like it was already broken by someone.
Just use a small pointed dental pick, awl, or small jewelers screwdriver to remove the rest of the blue clip.
Then squeeze down on the tab that actually holds the connector onto the valve.
That connector will stay on fine without the blue clip. You just have to get the rest of the blue clip out of there.

How did you get the inlet hose off? I'm having the same problem with mine. The blue clip is off but there is still something holding it in there. If I pull any harder, I think it might break. Haha! Nevermind, I forgot there is a button like release on the back side of it.
