Exhaust options

Looking at possibly doing something to my exhaust ..been thinking about doing a down pipe cause that will give me hp gains I don't really want to touch the back of exhaust cause don't care for the 4 cyl sound all that much but I do like turbo noise and hp gains..what is the best for the $$ do I need to do a mid pipe also or will the down pipe be good enough I like the anaconda exhaust but that is some serious money for 10 to 15 hp I can do the Zzp for about 200$ less just don't know if 3 or 2 1/2 pipe is going to make much difference in the little engine..I don't plan on a cat back for sound reasons..give me some direction on this matter.or should I just leave it stock and save my money..I already did the advantage tune and a k&n kit and it woke the car up..thanks guys for any input

It is my understanding that upgrading the front will help with spool up time and
turbo sount but if you don't open up the cat back it won't help much because
it will choke.
Im installing a mandrel bent catback for now. In the next couple months I hope to
go to a 2.5" downpour to complete my full exhaust.

Do some checking on here. This is a great forum with lots of info. I think MPFAB posted that his Anaconda performed almost the same with or without doing anything catback or even straight pipe.

Anaconda on the way for me so I'm biased

2014 Blue RS is correct, the loss of power running the stock cat back with MPFab's anaconda was only 1-2 hp lost across the board. Morgan has a thread dedicated to that set up with the dyno chart for proof I believe.

I know the anaconda is a prob the way to go.i guess I will save up some $$ and wait for a good deal to come around ..it's what I am looking for turbo sound with more power..
