As it's been said many times before when someone asked why didn't they do that or add this one thing it would have only cost $2 per car. Over allot of cars that adds up also there are allot of little things so you could easily add $400 to each car with little this' and that' here and there.

Does the RS model have a different dead pedal treatment? I haven't heard anyone mention that it is different, nor have I looked inside in that area to see. If not it should have; given that it is an uplevel model with a premium interior.

Another fix for the carpeted dead pedal... I just received these weathertech mats in the mail. I like the extra piece that covers the dead pedal:

The drivers side mat has the two pin mounts that mate up with the factory pins in the floor to hold the floor mat in place. Worth the $50 I paid for the set. I only got the front mats, didn't really want to spend another $50 for the rear mats that wouldn't get much use.

Guys/Gals, this is a must do mod!
It's easy & cheap to do. This will save your carpet and looks OEM as well.

Walmart has it in the automotive section, and you'll need velcro as well...the "hook" side... Once that hook hits your carpet, it's in!

The rubber deadpedal has an adhesive backing, peel off that tape, adhere the hook velcro in strategic places, press against the deadpedal spot and boom...done.

I've done this one mine and the rubber on these lasts longer than the rubber floor mats I got from Gm

I bought similiar material from a local ACE hardware store. Width was fine so there was nno messing with that. cut it to length. ( a bit shorter than shown to aviod that metel) and so far is working great .

I just did the most yesterday. Was cheap and easy and looks great. Currently I have generic rubber chevy mats. Not a fan of carpet. Does anyone know if they sell "sonic" rubber mats. I know theres carpet ones out there but I dont think ive come across ones that say sonic that are rubber. Also does anyone konw if there is any sort of paint that will stick to floor mat?

I bought these and swapped out the carpet ones:

Cheap, and fit well. I'll see how they hold up over the colder months. I didn't need to cut them to fit, but you can if you need to.

That's exactly what I'm looking for. I found them for 80$ but that's still 40$ more than I want to spend on floormats.
