2012 Chevy Sonic LTZ turbo 6speed. Bought brand new in March '12 with 4 miles on it as my economical daily driver. I currently as of July '13 have 41,400 miles. I drive allot.



First things first: injen intake. Pretty painless install. I felt an immediate and noticeable power gain. And the sound was fun too........ for about 2 weeks. Then the "learn down" kicked in and the power was gone
One of these days I'll get around to getting a tune.

Second mod was the carbon fiber mustache. I plugged the license plate holes and then carefully adopted the vinyl and cut to shape.

I needed a cell phone holder but all I could find were suction cup holders. Our sonic has a pretty racked wind shield which makes it hard to reach for a phone. Our sonic also has a pretty useless "card slot" in the center console. I killed two birds with one stone

Had some left over carbon fiber vinyl so I wrapped the tailgate lid and the bumper with it. Pain.in.the.but.

Next was the coolest mod so far: painting the wheels
5 coats of matte black plastidip and 5 coats of rustoleum metallic gold.

This next mod was done for me by an illegal alien ass-clown with no drivers license and no insurance. He hit me while I was parked. Gotta love Mexicans.....

I don't know how I feel about that vinyl on the faceplate. Other than that, I like it! The wheels are my favorite.

I think It's pretty cool. Certainly never seen it before. Also thinks cars should be fun and its awesome having something no one else has.

Holy **** man I LOVE the carbon everywhere. It looks sick! I may have to steal this idea from you. I'm in the middle of my dash. Just read the thread to see how to take it all apart.

Good deal. Just be careful with taking out the hvac controls. But it's so much easier when you do. Lots of heat and a sharp razor and you're good to go

Oh wow you took the actual knobs out. I wasn't sure you could do that. I wrapped it with the knobs on. In the corner you can see my scalpel and my beer. It took awhile but I'm happy with the turn out

Yea you can pop them out. 4 screws on the back. I was going to try it with them in. But when I noticed how easy they were to get out, they had to come out hahaha.
