flooded with water

My loving boyfriend decided to drive my 2015 Chevy Sonic Hatchback INTO ABOUT A 1' 1/2" OF WATER, thinking he was in his truck. So far we have replaced the battery, starter, (which was not needed), and next the altenator. if this has happened to anyone else, what else should I expect? Never drove thru high water enough to shut the engine down.

What is it doing now? You may have hydrolocked the engine pull the plugs out amd turn the engine over it will get rid of any water,and check your air filter if it’s full
More then likely made its way to the engine, what does your oil look like?

Oil is fine, I can't get the engine to turn over.

It didn't die immediately. He drove it for a few more blocks and then it died.

Ok, Well you could get a socket and breaker bar and put it on your crankshaft pulley and see if it spins over by hand if it does you know something electrical is going on

Is this the 1.8 or 1.6?
