For reference:
Beastlik's rims are 6.5" wide with a 41.5 offset or 5.35" of BS. Add in the 20mm spacer (.8") and now you are looking at 4.55" or offset of 21.5. Let's assume that Beastlik is running a 225/45/17 tire.
When changing the rim width, the offset required to position the wheel stays the same (21.5), but the amount of BS does change.
So now we want to duplicate that look with an 18x8" wide rim. To put the rim and same width tire into the same position - that would require the same 21.5 mm offset and a 225/40/18" tire (the same section width of 225, but a 40 series profile to generate a tire height that is close (25 compared to 25.1")).
I fully understand that tire width does not change the offset. But a wider tire will affect clearances to suspension parts and the wheelwell. If one was going to use a 245/35/18 (close to the same height) - the tire sidewall now projects out an addtional 10mm on both sides. That may require a different offset to avoid contact with either the body or the suspension.
Your link didn't work, but I'm familiar with this one which is probably similar.
