can you remove the grill from the front without taking off the bumper?

yea be careful as to not break the tabs on the bumper sides there not made very heavy duty..

AHH you were right! Those tabs are so weak! 3 of them broke as I took the bumper off, I superglued them back together...hope it will hold...

I was so gentle, I don't understand how you are supposed to remove the bumper without breaking those tabs?

Those tabs make me not want to remove the bumper..I can't see any dealer not breaking them.

Tomorrow I'm going to take my front bumper apart again and have a look at those tabs. I might outright remove them. They are near useless anyways.

Update: I successfully removed the tabs. The bumper is now easier to get on and off, with no real loss of durability. I'm going to make a new thread showing how I did it.

The front bumper is firmly held in place by at least 14 torx screws, 6 bolts, and several trim retainers. It doesn't stick out any more than it did before.
