Please tell me that they dont drill holes in the bumper for the front plate and that the bracket is easily removable...

if its like the cruze they most certain do drill holes straight through the bumper shell.. it SUCKS. I'll cross my fingers for ya'll that it isn't the same way on the Sonic.
I used some body clips and the white touch up paint and painted them up. Then stuck them in the holes. It makes me sad every time i see it.

They do in my state but I think i thurts the look of the car so was gunna take it off..drove the Celica without a front plate without a cop either noticing or caring, even after being pulled over a couple times in that car the cop never said anything about no front plate.

And pretty sure its illegal..that can hurt bad if you're in an accident
well mister smarty pants! since your such an expert about aerodynamics.......why does things like the cruze eco have grill shutters which helps the air roll around the car instead of into the car and something like a flat plate into the wind would/wouldn't help with aerodynamics?
well it's not illegal as long it's visible and hell it could be secured down and it's as simple as don't get in an accident....:-D

I know other people mentioned the aerodynamics but I don't want a front plate mainly because of looks

I'm not about to start a special Olympic race. Im not tryn to pop my collar, but i am going to let you know that im an engineer, and understand fluid mechanics...Looks, yea of course a car looks better without front plates, but if your going to throw the front plate on the dash, you might as well stick to a jdm vehicle.

I take this to mean that for the same reason GM chose to use open instead of covered headlights (lots of potential crevices to trap air, but air cushion theories play here), that a front plate has no effect on fuel economy.
