My spare tire in my trunk is a full size tire.. it came with the car when I bouight it

mine came with a donut. To my knowledge they all came with either a donut or slime/pump. I bet Ms Danny's has a donut too. They look full size seriously. but wait till you put it on. It is just a few inches shorter. The car actually handles very well with the donut on the rear. It is still shorter though, and if left on the ground for too long, it will wear down the inner bead on the good tire of the same axle.

I know the difference between a donut and a full size. My car originally came with 16" rims and my spare is a 16" full tire.. I have 17s on my car now so yes now it would look smaller on my car since I have 17s and my spare is a 16"

Even worse, they sold her a wrecked totaled car repaired and sold as new. So who knows what all they really did to her car, sure she can give more details if needed.
Dealers like that need to be sued into bankruptcy and never be allowed to sell cars ever again!

No its an lt and the only options were all weather floor mats, inferno paint and turbo engine.

My dealer said my sonic came with a full size spare.. when it was ordered with rim and fog Light package with 16" rims

Are you sure its full size?
I only because I don't see a full width tire fitting in that location.

Well I thought it was a 16" donut the very thin kind.. but when my tire went flat and I pulled the spare out for the tire guy it was a full tire.. and yeah it for sure fits a full tire because my bro bought a 17" sonic OEM rim for his spare for when he blows a tire.. but mines the black ugly hubcap rim tho.. but its size 16" and full tread tire and has GM on the back of the rim

You have a sedan though right? Is your brother's a sedan? Can anyone confirm that it would fit in the spare tire space in a hatchback?

The OEM wheel fits in the sedan's trunk under the trim cover...
Our 2013 Sonic LT Sedan is equipped with a compact spare tire, it is smaller than an OEM wheel. See the Vehicle Care - Tire Changing section of your owner's manual. It is on page 10-69 of our manual.
An OEM wheel fits where the compact spare tire was placed, you need to remove the foam container that holds the jack and tools to place it there, you also need to remove a foam block glued to the underside of the trim cover if you plan to use the trim cover with a full sized spare. The tire should be strapped in per the section "Storing the Flat Tire and Tools".
The main problem is then finding a proper place for the Jack, Wheel Wrench, and Extension since the original foam container can't be used with a full sized spare.
We decided to use the compact spare tire even though we have two sets of wheels for our car. The Winter wheels are much better this time of year than the OEM wheels!

Car came with a donut, a no-go for me.
Upgraded my wheels anyway, so I use a full size spare, OEM 17" with 205/50 tire
Previously I've kept the original foam tool insert, used the shelf on it's higher setting (photos for gap).
Kept emergency gear in the empty space, which then turned into towels, cleaning supplies, reusable bags etc...
when I needed any of that stuff, getting underneath is a total pain in the hatch, especially when I'm on a big road trip and everything is laid out meticulously, usually with rear seats down, or the back completely out.
It's Tetris, really, but these little guys can fit so much, comically.
Modifying the zone for getting this spare to rest deeper, in order to use the shelf on its lowest/flush setting.
Making 3d printed mounts for the tools within it, upgrading the foam, and gaining extra vertical space above. Thank you BFH.
