Funny story I guess I should share.

Well I've had my 2012 Sonic for 3 weeks now and really love it well I've been driving a 2010 Camero around before i got my sonic and i purchased this car in Florida at a family Dealership and had it shipped to Kentucky and when they drove it off the truck he told me to drive it around and Ive never drove it since I've purchased it from Florida well in my Camero i basically got to press my brake in hard to make the car start to slow down and when i got in my sonic i drove it around the parking lot and went to park it and tapped on the breaks to hard and my face plowed into the steering wheel and i was not wearing a seatbelt since i was driving it around in a parking lot. well there was blood all over the window and dash and seats in my new car! turns out i broke my nose busted both my lips and my front tooth was loose and i still love my car but scared to hit my breaks still to this day lol. But chevy was nice enough to get the blood stains out of my seats and it looks new again. Only thing i dont like about my car is a lot of roads here are 45 and 55mph and if i go that speed i feel like i go 10mph and i look down and catch myself going like 80 in a 55. but im sure ill get use to it. Thought id share.

Thanks all yeah its getting better and had the bandage off since yesterday. But the only reason i got the Sonic is because my Job replaced all the business cars for the Sonic hatchbacks and i really enjoyed the car and its look so i got the sedan. And all the work cars have dash cams and if i can find the video in the computer System at work ill upload a video and share it on here of me in the passenger seat and my mates driving the Business Sonic for the first day and me screaming like a Bi**h because they was going over 100mph on a Country road that only fits one car and jumping over these huge hills on that road in the car.

Manual says clearly to brake gently the first 500 miles or so. I thought it was to help them wear in evenly, didn't realize it was about saving on plastic surgery bills!

After you've used them a while the brakes will be better behaved. They are still very firm but you'll be able to just slow down a little instead of always slamming them on every time.

Of course you could also pull the ABS fuse and claim you did it for medical reasons...

lol yeah i got the brakes down now but still sling myself once in awhile tapping on the breaks.

Mostly to and from the airport. I went to San francisco every other week and it was cheaper to fly in and out of oakland than the San Fran Airports
