Gas problems

So funny thing I put in 89 or 93 oct and I get engine noise (sounds like the turbo) I put in 87 = no noise...

This is related to my other post about the engine noise...I can't find the other post.

update to that: Dealer looked over the car and couldn't find anything but they do hear the issue...contradicting to what they first time round. so all in all I think I found the problem but I'm going to give it a few days just to make sure.

Moving this to the 1.4 section. Please post threads like this in that section since you have a 1.4 and it's engine related.

If it helps any...I know for most newer cars if the manual says use 87 use 87 and if it says 93 use 93....The computers are programmed for these fuels for a reason..Just the other week my wife and I were traveling and stopped in NJ to fill up..We told the guy 93 octane and he put 87...Her car went through the 87 like it was water...Unless you get a upgraded tune for 93 octane, stick with 87.
