soldering machine
3 piece 3.3k ohm resistance
3 piece bule led

Remove door handles

remove modul

pole heads point ( left -positive / right- negative)

soldering the LEDs

when the assembly is finished

I've been thinking of installing one of these connected to the licence plate circuit, hitting the road at the back of the RS when the lights come on

Cost of repair and replacement makes it way more than $0.02 but I get your point

No, I mean for GM to an an LED to that... that's nothing...like a total of $0.25/car and you'd have lights on all the window switches...

This is why small cars are so much better in Europe and other countries... They're not considered basic transportation.

I know what you mean, but they'd source it from some cheap supplier...they'd go out...then someone posts here about what a total pos the car is because a $0.25 part fails at 150k miles lol

It's two wires to connect. 12vDC is super easy to work with. Drill a hole, route the wires, wrap connections with electrical tape.... Done

Regardless of what you are doing it's two wires to connect, 1 power, 1 ground.

The distance of the connections, location, etc may be something to work with but that doesn't change how simple 12v is.

If the system is no/nc perhaps that would throw noobs for a loop but it's 15 minutes of reading on Google to become knowledgeable enough to do most 12v projects.

Has anyone done the driver side yet? I cant get the module itself open. I tried poping the 3 little tabs loose on each side and removed the screw at the bottom. But it wont open.[emoji20]

How did you get the window switches off? Couldn't work out whereabouts to pry up. Seems like a cheap mod that will keep me busy for a bit

The switch module has 4 tabs. 2 on each side. Just use a small pick and unclip them. I did the passenger side as a test and it came out quite easily.
