I assume you are running spacers to get to 5x100?
The reason I mention spacers is I'm doubting a 9.5" wheel with 42 offset will clear the strut, but I haven't measured clearances myself.
i predict they will tear up your fenders... or that this is a joke and these wheels are not even going on the sonic.
Redrilled, no spacers.
Rears go right on. Room for a 245 too
Fronts are going to require some thought...maybe alot more. They currently hit the strut body, and just touch the brake caliper.
If I stagger the set up with the 8.5" ET35s up front, they'll also go right on, but I'm going to spend some time with the 9.5"s and see if I can make them work.
Fitment is exactly the same for the fronts. I made a template to figure out where they would line up with the fender. Dialing in a little neg. camber will help get the fronts in a little more, but I have no interest in running anything more than -1.8. I'll be checking current camber with stock wheels next week to see how much farther I can go in.
Are you running coilovers?
You are going to need to add camber by doing camber plates, otherwise you are going to exacerbate the wheel to strut contact when you go negative by moving the hub relative to the strut. You can't slot or modify the mounting point without getting rid of the stock shock top mount replacing with a camber plate, as the stock mount sits snugly in the shock tower. It kinda blows none of the current coilover options include front plates.
I would see how far you need to space them out to get them off the front strut and just do a mild roll/pull (unless its just too much)
BTW I prefer the silver/polish...but thats all highly subjective
Pretty sure I have camber plates linked in on the http://www.sonicownersforum.com/forum/aftermarket-crowd/5872-sonic-parts.html thread.
Hmmm... When I try to use my link it gives me an error.
If you do a search under "sport compact" for 2013, Chevy, Sonic from spcperformance.com
It will come up. Part #71060 and 81260
do you think im going to be ok with a 17x8 with the offset around 20-32?
