Once the weather gets cold, I'm planning to install a grill cover over atleast the lower grill inlet.
The Cruze ECO has the active grill louvers and they claim a 5% improvement in aero drag!
An additional benefit would be protecting the intercooler and/or condensor from sand and pebbles on the road from snow plows...
Of course this would cut the airflow thru the intercooler, so if I wanted to drag race someone, I could just remove the cover.
I'd like to add a temperture sensor for coolant in the radiator. That way I could fine tune the blocker panel for different conditions. I wouldn't want the cooling fan coming on all the time.
Maybe I could rig up a cable to adjust an opening in the blocker on the fly...
