h.i.d's?? what brand are you guys using?

hey guys ive used alot of hids in the past but on our headlights we have the bulb cover to get to the bulb. all the hids ive seen dont have the 90 degree turn like the stock h11 bulbs. did you guys get an hid kit that has that 90 degree bend or does it fit in the factoryheadlamp and then the bulb cover had to be drilled for the wiring? thanks in advanced. if anyone can post a picture of there setup or a link that would be great too thanks

Way too much to post lol. I have some crappy xentecs i got for free. I did a relay off of the factory low beam wire so they work as they should.

It's still plug and play. You just have to plug a few more things. It's to safeguard the vehicle's electrical system. Power draws directly from the battery rather than going through the whole system. It'll also keep them from flickering.

Drilling holes in the dustcaps is required. It'll be a straight bulb.

I'm running Morimoto ballasts & bulbs.

The positive is the relay turn on wire. The rest are wired elsewhere.

I used TOP HID's "jdm slim ballast" with a 12v relay harness.

Then allow me to rephrase my post as an answer to the OP's question...

I would use a brand that produces bulbs that fit into the HID projector which you MUST install within your headlamp assembly to avoid being widely regarded as a flamboyant "boy racer" that does overtly childish things like black out turn signal lenses despite the obvious detrimental effect to the operation of said safety equipment.

Is that better? I feel like I'm at least getting closer.

That sounds like an old guy answer. Piss alot of people off with that statement. But yes a bit better.

My turn signals work great by the way. The joy of leds. Not trying to start a flame war but dont call people childish that mod there car just to make you look cool or "mature".

Personally I'm getting tired of people making comments about guys who put HIDs on non projector headlights.I have bothered no one with mine, you want proof I'll give you the cops badge number and ext. so you can call and ask him which is what I did, when asked if I was "too bright" or "blinding" he said I was just fine. I installed those lights for one simple reason, I live out near the mountains and need to see the possible animals that may pop out of no where, so flame all you want but I have good reason to run HIDs and I'm not a "boy racer".
