I test drove a cruz ls. Boring.
They did have a cruz rs and that was nice..but $26k? No thanks.

I see roughly equal numbers of LS, LT, and LTZ, I have never seen an RS in the wild. I have seen very few Turbo badges, it seems the 1.8 is far more common. I understand the 1.8 in the LS, I even sort of see it in the LT, where it is after all an upcharge, but in the LTZ, where you're already blowing money on upcharges above and beyond those on the LT, I can't imagine not going LT and Turbo over LZ and 1.8, if the $700 is make-or-break.
There are certainly 5 speed LTZs, in fact all the Sonics with the exception of the RS have the 5 seed available, because that's the manual you get if you get a manual 1.8; the 6 speed is on the 1.4T, which means only the LT, LTZ, and RS can have that.

Can't say I've seen any other LTZ's in my area of the woods. I know there must be some around here, as the dealer had 3 other LTZ Hatches on the lot the day I bought mine.
I tend to buy my vehicles with all the options so I don't regret not having those features later. It's a hella lot more expensive to add things aftermarket than just getting it up front.

in the around 75 mile radius that I travel between home, work and neighboring towns, I see a majority of lt's and some ls's. Other than mine, I have not seen a single other ltz sonic in the year that I have owned mine. And also, interestingly enough, between all of the sonics that I see, mine is literally the only modded sonic and the only crystal red tintcoat that I have seen.

An LT Cruze sucks tho. Like the sonic, the cruze has to be an ltz or rs to be worthwhile.

You're right, the fake leather and sun roof totally make the Cruze.
What else does?
Fake leather, real leather who cares. Both look good, both are comfortable.
Personally I would pay $1000 just for a sunroof.
I spend my days and lots of nights in a cramped, dark, ford crown victoria. A sunroof in my personal car is refreshing.
Does a cruze lt have mylink?

Fog lights, nice but not very important.
17" rims, kinda pointless unless you want a harder ride and more expensive tires for a small gain in handling
sunroof again, doesn't matter to me and many others.
Mylink, never used it and I may never. I certainly don't care about it.
See that is the point you keep missing. The LT Cruze and LT Sonic Don't "suck" in most people's opinions. What does suck is a drop in gas mileage due to the extra weight of hauling that crap around along with the increased purchase price.
Many of us wanted an LT and not an LTZ.
I wouldn't even say an LS "sucks". I don't think any of the Sonic trim levels or Cruze trim levels suck.
I see your point, but disagree. The extras that make an ltz, MAKE the sonic. I couldnt imagine my car specd any other way.
Fog lights, usefulness aside, just look better than having a plastic cutout in your front bumper.
The 17s also look much much better than the 16/15s..which have an ugly design to them and look out of place being soo small.
Sunroof, well I already explained my reason for it being essential. But like I said a sunroof completely changes the interior feel.
Mylink, you yourself said you never used, so how do you know you dont like it?

Didn't say I don't like it, said I don't care about it.
As long as my car plays MP3s from a thumb drive and or ipod I'm happy. Don't need or want anything else. I think MyLink comes in 2013 and newer LTs also.

Not sure. Just how simple it is. My Lincoln had everything under the sun. It was ok
That is all in performance parts. Not interior parts. I would have just as much in a ltz/rs as I would on this Ls
So in that aspect it is balanced out
