Hatch hydraulics

My white Sonic, when lifting the hatch, does not open all the way without some "assistance" about 3/4 opened. It's also fairly slow. However, my black hatch opens fully and fairly quickly without any assistance.

Has anyone had their hatch hydraulic lifters replaced under warranty? Were they completely broken or were you having similar problems as me?

I have noticed on my Jeep if the weather is really cold the gas struts have lower pressure and won't open the hatch all the way. Haven't seen the problem on my Sonic although it has not been very cold here recently.

Take both cars in at the same time, so they can't use the old "that's how this car is supposed to work" dodge. When they say that, just open your other car's hatch and then say "you're going to have to fix one of the two cars, I prefer you fix the white one."

Thought about also asking them to test out some of the brand new cars on the lot.

It's rather annoying. On my black car, I can press the release, pull up a bit, and the struts do the rest. The white car needs assistance past a certain point.
