Hatchback autoX

I have searched and searched but can not find anything about autoX in a hatchback rs... So I just bought a 1.4t hatchback (traded in my corvette for it) and I was told the hatchback is not eligible due to a high rollover risk... Is this true? I thought with the lowered suspension of the rs it it passes the rollover percent fine? It's better than an Aveo and they can race?

You're in luck, the sonic passed the rollover criteria, as mentioned by Firstorbit, and a few people have already AutoX the sonic.

I raced my hatchback in a autocross on the 23rd. But I am lowered. You might be able to talk them into letting you race stock because the rs is lower then a normal sonic anyways

I'm assuming the subtext is "I traded a beat up old gas guzzling heap of a Corvette for a brand new, top of the line RS trim Sonic" It isn't that hard to find Corvettes selling for less than the price of an RS. And I doubt 'Vettes do all that well in AutoX anyway.

Actually, at the event I was at. The they where doing extremely well! It was highly surprising.

That would be surprising. I guess I've been lied to by Top Gear, then, I expect a Vette to be good at just two things, attracting chix and going in a straight line.

Ya I was totally impressed! Guy had a brand new z06 there and it did really good ( and sounded amazing) now I will say that the course did not have a lot of technical stuff but still. There was a lot of dedicated vettes there

Ya I traded in my 00' ls1 corvette with c5r clutch... It had a blown diff from... Delicate driving... For a 13' rs... I pulled the front bumper off day 1 of owning it.. 302 miles hahaha

I did. alas, the Z06 isn't the same animal as a normal Corvette. not even close.

90% of the Corvettes I see are for people with more money than driving skills. They never see the open road. Just driveways, parking lots, and orbital polishers.

I was a happy camper to have the opportunity to sit in a Grand Sport... until I discovered it had a flappy-paddle gearbox.
