headlight and fog light protection

I have found two products to protect your lenses on your lights. either xpel or 3m product that is basically a film you apply to your lenses much like tint to your windows.
I am looking to hear back from anyone who has experience with either of these products or others with installation and how they worked for you. Can they be removed with out leaving anything on the lenses afterwards.

Company called Lamin-X also makes precut film to fit our cars and comes in like 5 shades. I actually have it on my tails lights and it works amazingly.

how were they to install?? did you put them on your headlights and driving lights. that's where I am lookin to install. hwy 167 is gonna rash out my car pretty quick. nothing I can do about that but maintain as best I can

Pretty straight forward install. Wasn't difficult at all. I used a heat gun to help form the protectors over the headlights since they are slightly curved. It may take a few days for some "cloudiness" between the film and headlight to dry but that is common. They are nearly unnoticeable when dry.
