Hope to get a 2014RS in the near future. I fell in love with thixcar when I saw the car and driver Youtube video. Since then I've been grazing pictures and threads on this site. Looks like the car is quite upgradable! Right now I drive a 05 envoy, which I love. But I'm ready to get back into a car (I might keep the truck as well) and have a little fun.

So I went to the dealership in Fairfield and built an rs. I need to call back Monday to complete my order. Is the performance exhaust really worthwhile? It's an extra $750. Also are these cars really priced to sell or should I try and talk them down some?

A popular choice here is the ZZP Catback or full turbo-back option. You can get the full turbo-back performance exhaust from some of our vendors here for not much more than that Borla, which I think is only a catback system.

The ZZP catback, depending on how you set it up, should be half what you would pay for the dealer-installed Borla. It may be worth it to you to get the dealer's option as it means they won't give you any warranty grief as well as already having it done.

The only benefit to getting it installed when you purchase the car would be adding the price to your car payment. Instead of shelling out the money for an exhaust at one time, it would probably only raise your monthly payment $15. If that doesn't matter to you, then I would check out ZZP for half the money.

It's supposed to at some time.. Wonder how long it'll take? I wondered about that myself.

I know the guys at the dealership, in the service department. Went ahead and got the RS without the exhaust. Got my payments close to what I was willing to spend. My girlfriend tried talking me into getting the sedan. She tried real hard in fact.after driving the sedan I just couldn't pass on the rs. Just driving each for less than ten minutes I could tell the rs was I little more fun although both do drive great. The rs seems to have just a tiny bit extra, could be all in my head tho. Anyhow the guys over there told me not to "settle" so I hope to have the rs by weeks end! Envoy will stay in my hands as well
I thing living in the northeast requires a 4wd for winter. Cold air intake on deck? K&N would be my first choice are there others that flow better?
