HI I just picked up my 2013 sonic RS the other day. I had a 2012 sonic LT before it. Will post some pics soon.

I'm keen to hear the story on this one. Not that I'm casting aspersions, I'm just curious as to what the thinking was behind this move.
You've traded in a one year old vehicle on a new one, basically the same car.
Me, I wouldn't trade in a one year old car on anything unless I really hated my current ride or really really loved the upgrade, and probably not even then. Two years, maybe I could see it, but one is just "too soon" unless there's something crazy at work or some amazing deal.
RS is mostly an appearance upgrade, and arguably a driving downgrade, at least thus far the voting has been against the RS transmission when offered a choice.
You aren't an appearance nut, or you probably would have gone LTZ instead of LT.
You couldn't have hated Sonic, because you went from one Sonic to another.
What does that leave? Hmm... did you have the 1.8 engine? Decided to upgrade to 1.4T and as long as you were in for a penny, went in for a pound with the top of the line?
Or... you had Inferno Orange and decided... Smit is that you in a new name?!?

Not hatin', I tried to make that clear, I was just curious what the specific reason was in this case. Heck for all I know he's just a "I buy a new car every year" kinda guy. The orange swap though, I knew you'd get behind that particular speculation.

Congrats on your new RS! I'm curious about what the dealer gave you for your LT in trade. How many miles were on your LT when you traded it? I'd guess there aren't a lot of 2012 Sonic being processed through the auctions (in FL, this is how most dealers calculate the value of a trade in), so I'm really interested in knowing what % of MSRP a Sonic LT depreciates in the first year. Thanks!

ok well when i got the Lt every dealer in md had no turbo's in stock and i didnt want to wait to order one. As I was without a vehicle at the time.. I got a good deal on the LT I paid total price of 17200 for it I believe.
Now as for getting the RS my LT had almost 25,000 miles on it and I just wasn't happy with the power of it. So I went into a dealer at the end of the month test drove the RS and was in love... but i kind of threw it around to the dealer that i didn't have to have it. He gave me a quote for 11500 for my trade in and a little over 20400 total for the RS.
I was like no thanks. even tho the blue book value for trade in was right in the price they offered. so i went back and forth with texting them and finally i said give me 13500 for trade in and i will be there in an hour.. well 5 minutes later they said come up. and thats my story..
I really love the appearance of the RS and all the add-ons I can get. I love the sonic..
O and my first one was black also.. :banana:
