You can log a wot rin and check it yourself but you'll need to calculate the crank hp by the formula. Hp=tq*rpm/5252

You will also need this super cool program that you can find over at the Cruze forums...

This will let you export as .csv file and then you can play around with it in excel or something similar to excel. You could even make a formula that you can find out your injector duty cycle. Such as idc=rpm*(pulsewidth{ms})/1200 and then you get the value as a percentage.

The guy over there reverse engineered Trifecta's software and made the program. Sounds like so far Trifecta is okay with his efforts and program. It doesn't have any timestamps on the log but I think he is trying to figure it out.

I have heard the contrary about the program, and make an effort to not advertise it. It was made without Trifecta's consent. If you stumbled across it and decide to use it, fine. But personally, I wouldn't broadcast it.

If trifecta was ok with it, they would offer it themselves, it wouldn't have to be reverse engineered (hacked). Think about it.

You could even be a good sport and delete the link.

Most, if not all, of the information that is extracted from the logs ca be found by watching your UltraGauge and looking at the right PIDs from the car computer. Not trying to be a dick by not taking down the link but I believe that if Vince wanted it down it wouldn't be over on cruzetalk. I will also take my link down if Vince so wishes.

Heck, if BNR and Trifecta would adjust my tune to get my speedo corrected to read the correct 101km/hr instead of the slow 100km/hr I'd likely take it down now without any issues and just continue using it myself and only for myself.

No you didn't dyno 265 at the wheels stock.
With the m62 you also did not get 340 at the wheels.
205 is what cm rated the car crank hp front the factory at 4k rpms.
And depending on year. The g35 was slow. If you raced an 03 g35x with 200k miles on it. The car was 240 hp stock take away 20hp for engine life and then run that through an auto and awd setup.... And you've got about 170whp in a 3600 lb car.

I could see a sonic keeping up with that.

Sorry I am going to have to call you out on that one. A Sonic racing an Infiniti... and winning? The only way I could see this happening is two ways the G was turning into a parking lot to park or it was missing the forth wheel.

Think about it the G starting with the base package has a V6 and it is rear wheel drive. If it was any other G packages all wheel drive. (Used to sell for Infiniti.) Also if I remember correctly all Infiniti engines for the G are the same just tune stock 305 HP (280 at the wheel) crank and something like 325 tq.

So basically, you couldn't realistically did this the G would have gotten you at the start and that would have been it, regardless what you "may" or "may not" have under that sweet hood of the Sonic.

I raced 2 G35s IRL. One was a coworker's V6. We premeditated the race before leaving work. It was literally a dead draw, until we both backed off at about 90mph.

The other was at the qtr mile, I don't know what model G35, but he got me just a little.... he was running 14.3's all night.

So it's not completely craycray to say it's possible to beat one with just some mods and tune.

A non-tuned Sonic...... not so much.

That G should have been in 4th gear if he/she was slowing down at 90 mph. The driver was scared bottom line.

No it's crazy to say that a 1.4l turbo engine will beat a 3.5l V6 it can't happen. Even with mods and tune. I understand that you have done some work to your car and you are thinking that it is super fast plus you have pride in your car. Trust me, I have modded several cars I know where you are coming from.

This is like me racing a Yugo with my Jag. I should win every single time unless my smoke falls out of mouth while I am driving.

I don't have an ego complex about proving my car is fast.

Damn right we were scared at 90mph. We are grown ass adults with mortgages and also need our vehicles to make it to work to pay bills. And the next day at work, neither of us spent more than 2 minutes caring about not having a fast car.

A stock G35 is not the bee's knees. And with the right turbo, you very well can beat an n/a V6 so long as it's not heavily modded.

I don't know man. I don't really care about going after Nissan's, but you seem to be real defensive about them. I'm just sharing some real world experiences.

But I'm thinking you misread what I wrote I was trying to give you a compliment. Alot of people take pride in thier cars after some work was done to it. Think about it how many times have you seen someone with a 96 civic and they thought they were bad-a$$ because they have a CAI and a coffee can?

With the right turbo, by time you spend all that money to support all that boost you might as well spent the money on a sports car.

I'm not being defensive over Nissian. I love Mitus just being realistic.

No worries. I want a fast Sonic, not a fast car relatively speaking. Anybody can have a fast sportscar. A fast ecobox is my passion ATM.

Also, if I'm not spending my money constructively, I risk spending it destructively and rock bottom is not a place I wish to visit a second time.
