My Ultragauge shows between 10 and 16 PSI, depending on what gear and how close the pedal is to the ground. It does seem to limit boost in first gear though which I know other cars do like the Cobalt SS and Mazdaspeed 3/6. Can anyone confirm since the other cars are more sports cars and the Sonic is more for economy.

My WRX did the same thing (limit boost in 1st). I do believe that's normal.

Thanks to modern software, you will see less boost during cooler denser days and more boost on hotter days due to torque limiting factors programmed into the factory cals. Although this sounds contrarian, the OEMs are doing this so that the car feels "consistent" regardless of weather conditions. Gone are the days of going out on a nice cool dense evening and having your car feel faster.

On the Ultragauge, I've seen my car hit 14psi of boost in stock mode, and 22psi on tune mode.

Stock our 1.4L was getting 16psi on a good day, 13/14psi if hot out.
Tuned with the Trifecta Performance production tune it was consistently 20psi, our current tune is pushing 22psi.

my scangauge has only once shown my sonic to make it to around 11 psi. normally 8-10 psi on mine. i want a tune but want it to be piggy back so i dont void warranty. disconnect or reflash and go to the dealer

With my Catless open exhaust my car made 17psi stock tune and 23psi on the trifecta tune with Ultragauge
