Hi all- I noticed that when I tried to bring in cool air (without AC), I was getting WARM air-a very noticeable difference. I tried all the variations I could think of and was still getting warm air. Popped the hood looking for gaps in the seal between the engine bay and cowling intakes-no gaps, none, but I noticed the cowling trough was plastic and is fairly close to the engine. I had some HVAC tape and and covered the trough with it. Real big difference! Do you think HVAC tape can be used to shield CAIs from engine heat? Your thoughts are welcome.
