if the VIN doesn't show anything on the site, am I safe (for recalls?)

I just bought a used 2012, and since I don't know what recalls has been completed, I want to make sure that all repairs has been addressed.

Going on the chevy site, they have a link to input the vin and it'll pull recalls. When I input my vin, nothing shows up. does this mean I am okay with recalls and nothing needs to be addressed?

Only way to remove recalls from your vin is if a Chevy dealership marks them as completed/repaired. So if nothing shows up or says no recalls for your vehicle then your good.

I checked the status on 5 of our GM vehicles:
My Sonic hatch has recently had the recalls completed and doesn't show any listed.
The wife's Sonic sedan had recalls completed Wednesday, and still show up as not completed.
This leads me to believe that if your 2012 Sonic had any outstanding recalls incomplete, it would show up on the search.
I'm not sure if service bulletin issues would show up on this search, such as the front stabilizer end links. That may need to be searched by a dealer service adviser to determine if this has been addressed.
My 2011 Equinox has a recall listed relating to the power front seat, in which I have yet to be notified of. It has just been identified as an issue, and a fix has just been released. It did also mention an update to the oil life monitoring system that needed recalibration.
