Intake manifold tuning valve issues

Hi, I have a 2017 Sonic RS with the 1.8 engine. Got a P2076 and saw my intake manifold tuning valve runner had come off at the bottom cause it was worn out. Bought an aftermarket runner and replaced it. Cleared the code. However, now I’m getting P2070 staying the valve is stuck open. Have checked the runner again and it’s still connected and does move open and closed when I send it the command with my scan tool. But, every time I clear the code it comes back. Anyone else had this and were you able to fix it? Thanks

Anyone have insights? I just replaced entire IMT motor for the replacement Dorman one and now p2076 but i have p2070 lol

Saw some good info in a Cruz forum, since they also use the 1.8. I disconnected the arm and manually exercised the flap. Seemed good for about a week. Came back. I'm about to change the same part you did, although less excited now. The next idea was to run a top end cleaner. I am getting p2070 and p0420 (cat). Always together, so I'm hoping the 2070 fix cures my 420. After these steps, I'll replace the cat. Have you driven it yet?

Update: I've owned the car for several months and my records show no occurrence of the p2076 code with all the other codes/issues I've fixed. I changed the same IMT motor, also with a Dorman and noticed the old one was also a Dorman. Prior to changing it, I would pop the p2070 and p0420 every other day. After the change I started the car and immediately popped p2070 and p2076 like the above poster. The next day I had that pair of codes on every drive within about 5 minutes. I ran a top end cleaner last night and went for a 30 minute drive with no cel, but pending for p2070 and p2076. Drove 30 minutes to work this am and no cel.
