Interior Modifications

Does anyone have pictures of interior modifications to blacken out the chrome/silver trim?

I was not planning on doing much on the inside, but I can't help but notice when the sun is out, the silver air vents reflect directly in both driver/passenger mirrors.

I was thinking this would be a job for plasti-dip, but having zero experience with the stuff, I'm hesitant what it could/would do to the interior. I'm open to other ideas.

Theres a few threads as far a taking the stuff apart. I didnt have any chrome inside the car except around the bowtie on the steering wheel.

Plastidip is super easy..As long as you dont go too overly thick, its really hard to mess up.

I've thought about laying down some kind of fake black suede or black velvet material on the top of the dash to keep it from reflecting up on the windshield on sunny days. If the sun is at the right angle that can be really annoying.
I honestly don't understand why any car is made with shiny, reflective material on top of the dash...

Because there are dashstrokes that would complain that the materials are cheap and hard to the touch. Oh wait...
