I've looked into air ride for my Sonic, I prefer the "air spring" rather than a bag. Not cheap and I'm sure not as easy as a Coil over swap but it would be well worth it.

bags are for bitchez.... static is the only way to go. a car that drives at that lowered hight gets way more respect then someone thaat just pushed a button

It also gets way more beat up if you're not careful. lololol

Despite this, I'll be staying static. Haha. Trying to keep myself from having too much fun with the trifecta tune and electric cutout.

If air ride released something for the Sonic I would probably jump on it before I would jump a "static" suspension. Bitchez won't have shredded/involuntarily removed body parts because of 2" speed bumps and curbs with bags installed.

Exactly, I rub right now just getting through my everyday drive. I would prefer to gain an extra 1/2" on demand with a 2-3" drop

AirSpeed has proven results in autocross, using air springs rather than bags.

My truck lays frame, but being a 64 it falls in your pre-80's category. Bags up at ride height, it's still a 6" drop. I like my exhaust and oil pan.

He was lowered on BC Coilovers.

There's no way you could go that low with off the shelf lowering springs for this car... well unless you did this with them...
