I disconnected the battery terminal to install a GPS unit and now that everything is back together the only thing that doesn't work is the key fob to lock or unlock the doors and open the trunk. The key works to lock/unlock and the car runs fine with no warning codes also the interior control button to lock/unlock the doors is working. Is there any method to reset the lock/unlock function or the key fob itself?

Every time I do that my remote start won't work for a few hours lol

Yeah I was wondering about that; updating the BCM software, but that was written on 2/1/2012 I would have hoped everything manufactured after that would already have been updated. I'm very close to the dealer so I may end up just going over there next week.
Fixed
Took it into the Chevy dealer and got it fixed for $285, it was the key fob transmitter antennae which is located right under the top dashboard tray above the radio. I disconnected it when I installed a GPS unit and forget to connect it again at reassembly, that's what happens when you get distracted every 5 minutes trying to do something. The Chevy service advisor didn't tell me exactly what they did to find the problem, I figured it out the other night when I was installing the GPS on the second sonic. I pulled off the dashboard center tray and saw the wiring harness that I didn't reconnect when I put the last one together.

I'm glad that the problem has been resolved.
That would be very disturbing to discover something that I had just done had caused something that worked before, to no longer work: Then have to pay a substantial fee to correct it. I can feel your pain.
I commend your sharing the solution to the problem; I probably wouldn't have told anyone if I had done the same thing.
