Kia Optima - DON'T DO IT!

I wanted a center arm rest for both passengers, a sharper, prettier car, better positioned cup holders, and a more roomy interior, so I got a new 2014 Kia Optima. I got a fully loaded SX, and it's a piece of junk! So much stuff has gone wrong with this car. Nothing major has happened, but all the little cosmetic things add up.

I want my sonic back. The sonic gave me no issues, whistles, buzzes, or anything. What a reliable, gas sipping, unique car.

The 2014 fiesta has a center console, so I know that Chevy can put a console in this car. I want a 2015 dusk edition with a center console and prettier interior color.

The grass isn't always greener on the other side. You might want to save yourself a lot of money and trouble. This Optima only has 2,000 miles on it and I'm going to try and trade it in for something else already.

Get a Sonic and put a center console in yourself. Don't wait for Chevy to do it, because that isn't their design vision.

+1. You shouldn't let the lack of a passenger armrest deter you from getting the car you want. Definitely check out aftermarket products.

Have seen this one, bought it, but it's too chintzy, and it requires you to remove the OEM one, which exposes the bare metal pin which the OEM pivots on...didn't like that.

I think the Sonic is a much better looking car than an Optima.
Our Chevy Cruze rental car has a terrible arm rest. I don't really care for center arm rests.

There's so many comments to reply to, lol. I appreciate the help and humor, guys.

Let's see here, horrible bluetooth audio quality, no pandora app, creaking dashboard, very loud rattling third brake light caused by bass from music that I had to fix (Design flaw, because the tabs holding it in place rested on the metal frame underneath), very loud whistling noise in crosswinds (All the time here, because I live in one of the top ten windiest cities in America. Dealer basically said, "oh well."), passenger seat so low that my wife couldn't see over the dashboard, and the seat wasn't height adjustable, passenger side weatherstrip replaced because it was wilted, plus other buzzes

The experience I had with the dealer was also horrendous. I had numerous parts replaced under warranty after the dealer "detailer" marred them really badly, and the paint looked like a scouring pad was used on it, so I had to pay to get it professionally corrected (idiot dealer detailer's solution was to "put some wax on it" this guy was a real mouth breather). After the included tint was re-installed by a mobile tint guy, I finally had to take it to a tint business to have it professionally tinted.

I think the Sonic is a much better looking car than an Optima.

Sorry I can't reply to everyone, lol. I think that the sonic is better looking than all but the sx and limited models, because with the bigger wheels and flash of the higher end packages, it looks pretty good to me.

The arm rest is a solution, but I 'd rather have a good looking car that has a dual arm rest already in it. I'm kinda crazy and a perfectionist about my cars, so that would be a huge no go.

I have an Kia Optima SX and a Chevy sonic. My optima has 48000kms on it and no issues to report. I don't know what OP is talking about but I have a perfect armrest for driver and passenger. Finally comparing optima (mid size sedan) with Sonic is like comparing apples to oranges.
