Kicker Stereo Upgrade Installed w/Pics!

I do not believe the title of this thread was: "Give me your opinion on how much I paid for my stereo upgrade."
I believe no one got pissy, nor nowhere near "all pissy" - I just asked if you felt better after getting all of that information off of your chest.

It certainly looks like you would say the entire thing in one sentence, without taking a breath, or so that's how your writing makes it look.

im a mechanic and go on this forum off of my phone. and forums are to get opinions feedback deals knowledge just seemed like some got upset cause cause i said it was over priced and compared it to another....

Since its introduction, there has been a general consensus it is overpriced.

I have read about the problems endemic to using a cell phone to post. I personally do not have a problem with a few word post that does not meet stanard English expectations but always wonder why one would post several lines of gibberish then be offended when called out for doing such.

I agree about one of the reasons for the forum is to share info/opinions.

I am not a grammar police person but I can be as snarky as the best of them.

just seems like one jumps on another when a negative opinion is given. im a mechanic my hands are dirty all the time so going back correcting....yeah im good on that ill just let it be. back on topic nice product

It's not cheap but I don't think this setup is TOO expensive for what it is. There is a little thought and engineering into this to make the setup and install easy and hopefully reliable for as long as you own the car.

Another good option may be to just get the amplifier upgrade which is about $350. Plug and play in a few minutes. Then add a compact powered sub like a Basslink for a few bucks more. Might be out $550-600 and you'll likely have some gain and crossover control for the sub.

The kicker upgrade option is way over priced, i could see $550-600 for the setup. but not the $800-$1000 between buying and having it installed.

That sole fact is why i opted not to get that kicker setup, and instead, had the 12" subwoofer i had just laying around intergrated into the stock headunit, amped, and run the stock speakers for now. To which work out just fine honestly when tuned right.

The stock headunit in the 2012 LT's actually function great with the intergration. Set the settings right and you get great bass and still the clarity from the stock speakers without making them over work.

To each their own, i prefered to save big and just add a sub to my stock system. Only costed $280 to have it done. Got the bass i was looking for and didnt cost me out the rear to get it.

If People want to pay that price for the kicker system, then thats their decision to do so. I myself, chose not to. Im happy with my setup.

Bumping this old thread to ask if anyone knows the individual part numbers. I'd like to hook up my small powered sub, but I want a plug and play harness.

There are no plug and play harnesses. Best bet to hook up a sub would be through a line out converter.
