Very nice! I wasn't sure about the lip at first but this angle really shows it well.

That is too funny that you said that, that is what the nose profile reminded me of too! And I will always be a fan of the IROC-Z!

Considered changing my handle to bad-azz Sonic RS after reading that but can not; the engine is stock and it seems to me that rules out "bad-azz."
Based on your rec. I looked at the Valkyrie - interesting. Hers seems to be Cyber Gray and mine is Victory Red so I do not know if what works on her RS would work on mine. And my other car is a '69 Corvair Monza upon which chrome is the rule of the day.
I had not considered doing anything with the gold bowties but if Grafxwrks? will add an RS front to their lie-up then I am game.
I still plan to use the '67 RS crossed flag fender emblems and doing that might rule out smoking the chrome accents.

the yellow sonic is john william's, is on air bags, has 15" baer disc brakes, front and rear, leather interior w/ yellow inserts and yellow trim, awesome rims and is for sale. I just got a victory red rs so the yellow one is not within my means. This was the splitter that got my attention.

I added this emblem today. Another image is in post #8 of this thread.
There is not a lot left to complete this build. I am thinking the short throw and the rear brace, both from DDM will do it. Of course, if ZZP puts their proposed gauge pack on the market that will be a necessary add.
Thanks Chevrolet for making a product so amenable to personalizing at a reasonable cost. (For the car and for the aftermarket upgrades.)

For what it is worth, my original intention was to use the Corvair crossed flag emblem which was used on the early model Corvair to identify the performance version but when I got these RS specific emblems I knew they were the ones for me.

A quick question to Laborsmith: do the vents actually work? I have yet to see any pictures with the hood open so I question the functionality. Is there anything blocking airflow? Pictures would be greatly appreciated.
He has the Seibon CF hood which has functional vents.

Yes, the vents are functional. When you hold your hand over the vents (after parking ang getting out of the car) you feel the hot air escaping, almost as if the fan is still running.
I understand the grills need to be dremeled to be functional now. Is there any one who can be confirm or refute this?
