Lag, or Misfire?

Hello all, not sure if anyone else experiences this...
Just put on an MFab CAI and ZZP highflow catback within the past month (no codes, and I log data and stream). Did the BPV bypass, and when driving with traction and stability off, full thottle, it hits a point where it lags. Not like, turbo lag, because it'll do it halfway through the RPM range, then again randomly. If it was only after initial acceleration I'd suspect it's just time to install the 4th mount, but it's after a few seconds, but the light doesn't trip, and I have nothing pending. As far as I can tell it's the ecm recalculating for fuel, causing hesitation. Almost like the VVT turning on for no reason, then switching off.
Anyone? Anything?

Look at throttle position and boost if you can. If the car thinks power is getting out of hand it will actually close the throttle blade some to slow things down.

3000 rpm while WOT? Do you have any mods? Like I mentioned above, even on a stock tune the car will trim back throttle and boost to keep engine torque at a certain level.

My 2013 turbo is running horrible since she was rear-ended. 65k on the odo. Auto. Looking for reasons. Changed plugs, worked like a dream for about an hour. Back to stumbling, intermittent power, have to literally smash the gas pedal to the floor for it to move. Drives like a granny ok but shifts never at the same rpms and very jerky. No codes. Oh yeah. And disappearing coolant again. For the 5th time. Smh.

I'm not seeing the difference in your pic of plug #2 ?
But you said it ran better for a bit with a plug change? ...may the coil pack? Vacuum leak somewhere?

It is hard to tell in this pic, but #2 is more black. (More carbon deposit? And the tip is a reddish pink instead of white, but it's that way on another plug too) Gaps were between .034 - .026 if I remember correctly.

I'm surprised it's not throwing a code of some sort with how awful it drives, didn't notice anything obvious when I was in there to change plugs.

Time to put my ultragauge back on and see if I notice it doing anything funny.

Took her in for low coolant and crappy driving. They pressure tested coolant system with no apparent leaks, and chocked up the horrible performance to a tank of bad gas.

They advised of a service bulletin out about grade A/B gas and NOT to put grade B in (not exactly sure that's what they called it?)

They also told me DO NOT RUN ANYTHING BUT 87 in my little turbo. I still can't wrap my head around that. Gas mileage goes down considerably with 87. With 91+ I'm getting almost 27mpg, more if Hwy driving, and much better response from the car.

I'd stick to 91+, not sure what their logic is for 87. On the 1.4 even with 93 you get knock retard steadily when cruising at 60. Never logged it on 87, but I'm sure it's not better.

Bad gas is the catch-all diagnosis when you can't find the problem.

Oil is fine (I hope)
No lights. I get free oil changes for life at the dealer I bought it at so if I'm low on oil it's on them.

Hi, I'm not sure if you ever got the issue resolved but one time somebody ran a stop sign and I t-boned them in my Mustang. Then it ran like ****. What I ended up doing was changing the oil, spark plugs, plug wires, and air filter. Have you tried doing all these? My money would be on the plug wires or the equivalent on this car, I'm assuming it would be that yellow bar on top of the spark plugs, and whatever is under it. I haven't really taken it apart so I don't know how it works.

Only changed plugs. I haven't been driving the car much my husband does, but I drove it the other day and it feels like total crap. I get more response from my 89 VW Fox.... I guess I need to do it all... and figure out where the coolant goes...

When you pulled the plugs, did you dig the springs out of the spark plug boots on the coil pack to check for corrosion/wear?

Interesting topic, because I was experiencing a hesitation in wot and different rpm ranges, After consideration of at wot my engine is sucking in blowby getting mixed into my combustion chamber making my mix nasty and hesitating. Since the install of my catch can I haven't had this because that sludge is getting sent to a can now, cant rule out bad plugs or coil packs because that will be my first go to in when i have hesitation in wot.

I'd say put in a catch can see if that helps ( it'll help reliability and longevity anyway)

Otherwise unless you have comprehensive data logs and or take it to a dyno I got nothing

I'd say coil packs maybe
But that's it
All I can think of besides checking for boost leaks
