Don't forget - I work on these things daily! 
The ATS and Malibu share the 2.0L LTG - and if a Malibu subframe fits in a Sonic, the whole kit & caboodle would be shoehorned in.
A direct injected engine is much better suited to turbo duties as well. :thumbup:

Good luck! It will be amazing if you shoe horn a 2.0T into that little car. The owner of the Regal GS I know wont even line up with the STi (it just took one launch in S# with the DCCD locked!lol), I'd be reloctant to line up against a 2.0 powered Sonic even though I would for ****s and giggles. That and the STi has an amazing advantage off the line....

What is considered high boost under 3500 rpm, is there a specific threshold for boost where this code will get triggered? Loving all the info, keep it coming!

It's actually 4.80v according to the sensor, not 100% sure what KPa that translates into, unless someone has an accurate scaling chart for that MAP sensor. I'll look into it one day at work and see if it can be found.
Edit: searched again, supposedly that is 202 KPa.
Judging from other people's results though, the turbo doesn't flow enough to maintain anywhere near that boost level at higher rpms, you'd be better suited to keep the pressures under the limits and use timing to make the power, you will have to do that at higher rpms anyway. End result is about the same only you get lower charge temps and less IC heatsoak by not stuffing excessive boost at it from the start.

Not sure - most likely not. The difference in front track is 2.8" (wider) on the Malibu. I'll have my car on a hoist tonight, so I'll take some measurements.

Well...
I've been doing some research, and the PTO that makes the new Buick Encore "AWD" looks like it would bolt up to my transmission...
Don't tell me that. You're gonna make me ruin my car and my budget trying to make that work.

Also, I measured the subframe bolt locations on my sonic last night and I believe we're a bit too small to wedge an entire Malibu engine / trans / subframe assy into our cars.

What if someone was willing to forgo the bolts for a huge ass arc welder?
Btw the exhaust turned out nice, ugly steel but great layout and welds.. How's it sound?
