Gotcha. Which diameter do u like best mitdr774? What you think of the ecos?Depending on time of year and planned use of vehicle I bounce between 15, 16, and 17" wheels. I run tires as close to OEM diameter as possible. All pictures of the silver car are with the same suspension set up (Eibach springs).
No point in showing stock 15s or steel 15s
Polished 16" 95-99 Z wheels

LTZ with crap all seasons (Now on $ub$onics wifes car, safety issue with her car)

Eco wheels with race rubber (I also have a second set with all seasons)

I live in S.C. but I will take a look.Where do you live?
Checkout my thread with pics of my car in my profile and let me know if you like my 17x7.5" 5 spokes. If you are close enough we could meet up and you could see them in person.

I really like Enkei EV5 in bronze just don't think I want 18s. If they were 17s, I would be sold. How about Enkei EV5 in bronze? http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/resu...=2014&autoModClar=LT&package=false#visualizer
It would look good.![]()
Yea will have to look at weight too cause I want try to get something on the lighter side unless something just jumps out at me.I would check into the Ultra tracker weight. I like them but they look heavy.
Anyone put a 55 series tire on a 17 for the sonic. I am definitely going with 17s, just want as beefy as I can go on tires. Thoughts?Really kind of liking these!![]()

Looking for a little more to fill up the wheel well without going to much that will mess things up too bad. Don't really want to be rubbing. What exactly are you looking for in a tire? Why would you want to go with a 55 profile on a 17" wheel? I know you said beefy, but are you talking about filling the wheel well or something else?
Keep in mind that an overall taller tire will produce a speedometer error and has potential to rub where the vehicle correct diameter tire wont rub. If you started with a 15" wheel car this is a bigger issue to worry about.
Profile also changes with width if you are trying to maintain the same overall diameter. A 225/45/17 will be close to a 205/50/17 as far as overall diameter, within a 1/10th of an inch. For the sake of arguement a 225/55/17 would be 1.7" larger in diameter than the stock 205/50/17 tire. A 215/55/17 is about 1.3" larger diameter.
