I took delivery of the car on 7-8 and couldn't be happier with the car and the quality of the car. I wanted to buy and finance all the Go Fast goodies that I could from Chevrolet, but this is where this positive experience broke down and here's why: in the GM performance parts catalog there is a great looking cold air intake, the best looking one I've seen after looking around and you also get a ECM flash with it to take advantage of the increased breathing and it's very expensive, but you cant buy it, it doesn't exist, it's just a photo in a catalog, the second item I wanted was the Borla exhaust and that also came with a ECM flash to take advantage of the low restriction exhaust and pick up a few HP, but while the exhaust was available, the ECM flash was not, so for $700+ the Chevy dealer will take your factory exhaust off and install a new exhaust that does absolutely nothing, I guess it's a little louder, but again it's $700 and does nothing, this is so flipping stupid I cant believe it. The third thing I wanted was the bigger brake package and to Chevy's credit they told the truth and said you cant get this yet and I who really knows if this is even in the works? the forth item I wanted and was able to purchase and finance and the finance part was important to me because I don't want to pay for these over priced performance parts out of pocket later and WON'T, I will purchase parts from others and save $$$$ was the lowering/sport spring-strut package after a hassle I did get this package installed on the Sonic and I am very happy with that purchase....so here's the deal, Chevy says they have all these performance parts for your new Sonic and they will install them and it won't void your powertrain warranty, but they don't have anything, nothing, zip, zero lower springs/struts are all you can buy and that won't help you pick up any HP so I'm disappointed and think this is wrong to lie to people purchasing your cars and would love to talk to the chevy customer service guy that frequents this forum
