Do you recall how the wastegate rod is attached to the leveler that moves the wastegate its self? Bolt, rivet, etc?
opcorn:
Just went out and took a peak.
Going in reverse from the flapper door in the turbo outlet back to the waste gate diaphragm is the following.
-The flapper door is 1 piece with the shaft that passes thru the turbine housing.
-A flat steel lever is then placed on the shaft and welded solid.
-A rod is attached to the end of the lever and held on with an E-clip On the opposite side of this rod are internal threads.
-From there is the wastegate diaphragm rod that screws into the previous rod and the two are locked together with a jam nut. (This is the part that is referred to when talking about the "wastegate mod").
-Finally is the wastegate diaphragm.
I took a pic but unfortunately my Imgur account doesn't work so I can't post it. :sadbanana:
