LTZ hard to find?

Are the LTZ models really hard to find or something? My local dealer only had one in stock, but it was a color I disliked. Dealers in large cities in my state only have like one or two in stock. The LS, LT, and RS models seem much more prevalent.

I originally wanted an LTZ for the leather, sunroof, and larger tires. I ended up buying an LT with upgrades, but am still wondering why an LTZ Sonic hatch is near impossible to find.

Around me the hardest to find model was the 1.4t in any trim. Test drove an LTZ sedan last year and now it appears dealers have even more of them and a tiny bit more turbo's on the lot. Hatches are pretty prominent around me aswell.

There's two options to get a model, trim, color or options you want. 1. order it and wait for it to be build exactly as desired. or 2. Have a dealer locate one that fits the bill and have it transported to the lot.

Too late for that now, hope you like the LT, they're still really nice cars.

Weird. My dealer had a few of the LT Turbos, and a few RS, but only one LTZ.

So far, this car has been a blast to drive. Even the standard 1.8L engine is a peppy little thing compared to my old Corolla.

I couldn't find any orange 1.4 hatches in my area with automatics, with any trim level. I ended up getting an LT from almost 50 miles away, I would have settled for an LTZ if there was one around but i'm happy I got basically exactly what I wanted. If I could have convinced her to drive a manual the options are much better.

Ltz doesn't have leather. It's fake.

I had to custom order my LTZ turbo in Cyber Gray. Dealer couldn't find any, anywhere, to get on a trade.

I had trouble even test driving something similar, since no dealers had them. Ended up driving a turbo sedan automatic and a LT hatch non-turbo manual. First dealer I went to didn't even have any manuals on the lot. When the (incredibly) pushy salesman asked me "So what will it take to get you into one of our cars today?" he didn't like my answer of "A transmission swap." So I left and went to a different one.

When I bought my LTZ I had to go to another province to get it because within 200kms of me they only had a Black HB (mine) and a Black Sedan...I wanted white but did not have the time to wait to have one ordered.

I think black looks better anyway! I have a black hatch (LT) though, and I'm very happy with it.

Very true, it's hard for a dealer to order a 20k+ sonic when you can get a cruze for that money. Yes it's a different class of car but most buyers in that range don't really care and want to maximize the value they get for the money, if you can move up a class for the same money it usually happens. The buyer base represented here on the forum is largely enthusiasts and is a poor representation of the general buying public.

funny story, when i was car shopping i knew nothing of the sonic, the car slaesman say here sit in one of these, i was like "what is it, I will never fit in there, I'm 6'1"

i fit and felt comfy, so i took it for a test drive. it was alright but it wasn't a manual and that's what i was after.

So the salesman says hey we just an LTZ in, it fits you description. Lets go find it.

Long story short after looking for over an hour, this car hadn't even reached the lot yet, i put down a deposit, i was driving this car 2 days later.

I got lucky on my as well I guess, or just dumb luck..I was only allowed to pick something in the 16k range, saw my ride on the web, actually color caught my eye and it being stick drew my attention even more, then the wife was actually ok with the color, went in signed on the several dotted lines and drove my 300ish miles happy ass home. I did zero research on it, just took a chance.... No sun roof and its a 1.8 LTz :-( Still heavily thinking about swapping it for a RS next year, hopefully.

I own both a Cruze and a Sonic.
Personally I prefer the Sonic and if I wanted a more luxurious car, it would still be a Sonic. The Cruze feels too cramped and takes up too damn much room. A Sonic hatch is the car for me no matter what trim level. The Sonic Dusk caught my attention so we'll have to wait and see what I replace mine with in 2016.

But yeah I would be willing to bet LTZs are hard to find. In fact I bet an LTZ in any line would be hard to find as most people want either bottom level or mid level. Very few go for the loaded ones, at least that is what I've seen.

I agree 100% when the lease is over on the cruze, the wifey is thinking about a sonic.

I wish I would have known that. However, I'm very pleased with my LT. Now that I think about it, pleather and a sunroof isn't worth the extra cash.

I saw a White LTZ Hatch yesterday and as I walked around it I saw NO TURBO emblem and could only think.... WHY?????
