At least for those of you who live on my side of the dateline. And for those who aren't quite into the 25th yet, Merry Xmas to you (tomorrow)
I say this regardless of your religious affiliation, if any. I deliberately say Xmas (prounounced kristmass, just like the other one), and pretend anyone saying it to me are doing likewise. A nice secular holiday that everyone can celebrate or not as they wish... but its difficult to see how being wished Merryness can be a bad thing.
I noticed this year 9 out of 10 people who said anything (and it was almost everyone I actually spoke to on even the slightest basis) said Merry Xmas to me, a few saying just happy holidays, and a few more saying both. Up from about 75% last year. Interesting.
I am not offended.
