Multiple suspension issues - clunks, creaks and pops

I have been searching online today but I cannot find anything about a recall on the strut assembly. We just started hearing the strange noises from our sonic about a week ago. Not even sure how to describe them. Just a bunch of random clunks... I think mainly when turning... very disturbing. Can you post more info about the recall you referred to in your post?

I'm watching this too. Have noticed some suspension related noises from the driver's side back area when first moving the vehicle in the morning. Was reading this thread to see if my symptoms match (not exactly). If there was something awry in the strut assembly it would definitely make sense.
You can add me to the list. Clunking rattle from the front, heard when going over bumps, or if you turn the steering wheel left and right when going crawling speed (clunk, clunk, clunk, every time you turn the wheel). I'm going to take pictures of the area of the car in its current state in case the whole front area gets replaced and body work etc is affected like that one gentleman had done. I've had the car just about a year now, about 12k miles on it.

The sway bar end links are a possible weak link on these cars. Ive looked at them closely and plan to replace them as soon as a quality options hits the market and possibly a sway bar while I'm at it. My brother had at least one of his replaced already, but i have not had an issue yet. I also drive a bit more spirited then him so if they are going to fail I'm sure they would have let go by now.

Problem 3 was resolved when the dealer replaced the front cradle/subframe assembly. I was told a revised cradle was installed where the washers are welded. I've not visually verified this, so can only relay what I'm told
This entirely fixed the problem #3, which manifested itself in a heavy clunk.
Hello . I have a 2012 hatch 1.8 auto and I have been hearing the clunks too . In fact I was going to clean out the trunk and make sure it wasn't originating there . Sounds likes a tennis ball rattling aroung in a Pringles can going over small bumps . I have checked my trailer hitch and exhaust to see if anything was loose . In fact I even checked my lug nuts to see if tires were loose . Looks like I need a trip to the dealer . I need to get the windscreen washer recall taken care of anyways . I only have 8000 miles on it and I drive normal . 45 yo man here .
I'm very tempted to go buy a pringles can and a few tennis balls and place them in my trunk now.
On a serious note, I don't have any problems, but those plastic endlinks spell upgrade all over them. Will wait till viable option hits market.

Not sure if Vanessa in addressing me or not . But I have not made an appointment yet . I didn't know till I saw it here that this was a issue that happened to others too till I saw this thread . I was trying to just see if something was loose underneath the car .

My car has been making a clunking noise since almost day 1. It always seems to happen after it's been parked and I drive away, usually one clunk and it's good the rest of the time I'm driving. Does this sound like what you've experienced?
I've taken it to the dealer and they said they were unable to get it to do it for them.

Since this doesn't happen all the time, I would suggest taking it back to the dealer for another diagnosis and second opinion. If would like for me to research further, please PM your VIN, current mileage, name, involved dealership and contact phone number.

I've owned my Sonic for a week and experience a single clunk whenever the car begins moving after being off. I assumed this was the ABS system engaging since my '93 Miata used to have a similar noticible engagement upon rolling from a start.

If it doesn't seem right, you should take it in to the dealer and have them take a look at it.
