OK gang, after a few months of nothing I've ordered a slew of performance parts. Incoming is the ZZP intake, Forge BOV, ZZP catless downpipe, ZZP hi-flow-catted midpipe, DDMW exhaust, Trifecta tune and DDMW shifter bushings.

I'll update as things progress.

Looks like I'll be getting a prototype midpipe from ZZP. They are making it for me now.

I actually don't know if it's a prototype or a one-off, but I told them they could sell a few of them if they were offered.

I'll post a photo when it arrives.

Sounds like a deal. I wouldn't mind swapping out the mid pipe between the down pipe and test pipe if it wasn't an arm and a leg.

This will be a full midpipe with a hi-flow cat, from the downpipe to the exhaust. They offer catted and non-catted for the Cruze so I suspect if they offer a midpipe for the Sonic you would have that option as well.

Dang. My downpipe just shipped today. How was I to know that something better wasn't long off. Maybe they'll offer the intermediate pipe that connects from the DP over the axle to the 2nd cat.

The mid pipe replaces the section with the flex joint, You can still pick it up after you get the DP in.

Welp, I tuned 'er this evening. Much better driveability and the acceleration is very nice up to about 5K RPM. I'm going to ask for a tune calibrated for the other parts I ordered and then dial it in with the data logs. I think I'm going to give up the ECO option next time around.

ZZP is working on my midpipe so that and the downpipe are my only hold up. I can't wai to let it breathe with this tune.

Andrew's all like: "meh, it accelerates better and it's nice."

Lmao. C'mon. It didn't knock your socks off?

I dunno, lol. It definitely made a difference, but I think it needs the intake and exhaust components to really breathe and "knock my socks off".
