n00b here with a wheel question

Anyone run a 17x8.5 wheel? (15offset)

Going for an aggressive lip and a stretched tire but dont want it to look like a lowrider.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

8.5" width will probably work, but I think 15 offset is too low. You will probably need a higher offset like 30-35 or maybe even 40 to pull off 8.5" width

the 15 offset is my only choice on the style of rim I am getting. The wheel doesnt even come in our weird 5x105 lug pattern and I am going to have to get it drilled.

I do have another option 17x8 with a 35 offset but it would be to buy the wheel from the UK and pay 400 in shipping alone - trying to avoid this option.

Anything will work with the right amount of money and effort.

You will need to seriously pull the fenders for it to work

Got mine from the UK. Shipping was approx $300.
It was well worth it.

also et 15 will stick out 20mm or 0.8 of a inch past the fender

15 is way to much

this is et 35 to et 15.

its just a different angle the suspension is drooped as well

After hours of google and I spending time together last night....Ive come to the conclusion that finding a deep dish mesh wheel to fit a sonic is impossible in the states. I have found a 17x7.5 with 20et that will put my stance right about where I want....but the wheel is in the UK. My decision now is either to fork out the money for shipping or find another wheel....

Your et34 look like they stick out more than the et30

well i did still have the rim gaurds on from shipping and my car was not lowered at the time of the pics

they would be in 4mm more that ZT's
