That is what will have to happen. Seeing I have the specialty zzp 2.5" down pipe and they have a mid to cat exhaust system fully wielded (2.5")If you have the downpipe you may want to look into the mid pipe they offer. From there its a matter of running a secondary cat or not and then sorting out the rear section. If you have a friend with a welder you could always just buy the bends and a muffler, then make your own exhaust.
As long as mine does not sound like a total fart can *cough* I'll be okay. I would love to actually get up close n hear any one that has the full ZZP set up. .. just for kicks. poor any fully moded exhaust. I'm a hands on person and in your face. if I can touch it, see it I will get a better understanding of it.I will withhold comment on ZZP. If you are not picky about exact sound of the exhaust a premade set up works well. I redo my exhaust at least once a year chasing the sound I want. NA 4 cylinders are hard to make sound good at all times. Im about due to make a new setup again. I have to travel to use my welder since it is at my brother in laws. Some day I will take it back...
Sweet, yeah I will def do that. Yeah, I would have to hear yours as well to really know if it is as bothersome as you feel it is.I think Zippypcs has a ZZP exhaust, but it may only be the cat back. He is a few miles north though. If you contact him on here he may be able to let you know if he is ever down this way, and then you may be able to see and hear it. Not sure though.
I have a 1.8, I have to worry more about the fart than you do. It has been a constant battle with my exhaust and I am close to giving up on getting rid of the fart completely.
sounds like a plan!Welcome to the family! I also live in Michigan, Sterling Heights area. Just finished porting the intake and bypassing the bypass valve solenoid on my 1.4L. One of these days we should get all the Sonic folks from Michigan together and park at a Sonic drive thru
To you as well! where abouts you from?Welcome!
