I purchased a 2013 Sonic LTZ Turbo during the labor day sales. I also got the BNR Stage 1 kit but have not had a chance to install it due to engine problems encountered since the day of purchase.
I lurked on the board before I even purchased my car and reading the post here kinda cemented my decision to go with a Sonic. I originally wanted a Cruze Eco or Ford Focus with a manual tranny. The Sonic looked like a much more fun car to drive and people love to modify them. This forum has an invested population and is very active.
I live in Lake Orion, MI about 1.5 miles from the plant where the vehicle was built. The only mods I have done is to plasti-dip the chrome door handles and logo's. I do own a Jeep Wrangler and Harley Sportster that are both heavily modified so I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty.
I am currently going to school to get a Bachelor's in Information Assurance at EMU. The program is certified by the NSA as a school of excellence. Information Assurance is a friendly way of saying Computer *******/defense/forensics. (Yes the NSA is reading this post but Obama is not) Going back to school was the primary reason for purchasing a more fuel efficient vehicle. I've driven trucks and SUV's since the early 80's. This is the 3rd "car" I have owned in my lifetime, the other two were Oldsmobile's.
